> Biobank Advanced Course
October 12, 2017 - Strasbourg, France
4.15 pm to 6.15 pm

Vascular tissue biobanks are unique resources for research in vascular diseases. Biobanks provide exclusive insights into disease pathophysiology of humans, which is often poorly replicated in animal models, and can be expected to become even more valuable over time as open procedures are being replaced by endovascular interventions. The work shop welcomes beginners as well as experienced researchers and encompass an ambition to establish a future network of researchers with vascular tissue biobanks under the patronage of ESVB. Different topics will be discussed during a round table including:
• Initiation, maintenance and governance of biobank.
• Use of vascular tissue biobanks.
• Legal and ethical aspect of biobanks.
• Structure and organization of a biobank.
• Sample processions
• Bioinformatics
