The main goal of the European Symposium on Vascular Biomaterials is to meet international & renowned scientific researchers and physicians involved in research and usage of vascular biomaterials in the Vascular and Endovascular field. We want to promote knowledge, further develop the multidisciplinary approach - that we believe is essential - and create an interactive platform that should allow us to have productive exchanges and a durable future collaboration.
The ESVB meeting is organized every 2 years since 1999 in order to always focus on new scientific and medical perspectives.
In 2013, the plenary sessions dealt with Superficial Femoral Artery (SFA), the State of the Art vs EndoVascular Approaches to the Ascending Aorta / Aortic Arch and the intraluminal navigation. We also focused on "how to best achieve proper education on new technologies? ».
To that end, the ESVB 2015 will focus on new technologies for Thoraco-Abdominal and Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm treatment, as well as the reviews of infrainguinal and debulking technologies and techniques. A Satellite Symposium on Medical Textiles and a Simulation bootcamp will open this 9th edition of ESVB on October 15th.
This edition will be the opportunity to inaugurate the new Vascular Surgery Simulation & Training Center (VSSTC) of Strasbourg.
The shared knowledge will be summarized in a complete conference book as each participant can keep in mind the latest update in the field and reflect on further technological steps in Vascular Surgery.
